Oncology Yoga is an evidence-informed yoga method tailored to address the specific physical and emotional needs left by cancer and cancer treatments. It is a comprehensive yoga practice designed to mitigate the short and long-term side effects and achieve long-term health. Adaptable to all stages and cancer types.

Yoga is increasingly recommended by oncologists and cancer organizations as part of cancer recovery & long-term health. The American Cancer Society and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services recommend 150–320 minutes of yoga or exercise per week to aid recovery and reduce the risk of recurrence, highlighting active practices like Vinyasa. But not all yoga is the same.

yoga4cancer™ is designed to help cancer survivors achieve the oncology and healthcare organization recommendations to speed recovery or defend against cancer recurrence. Each session will:

• Build strength and flexibility

• Strengthen the immune system and the lymphatic function

• Reduce cancer-related fatigue

• Improve sleep and reduce anxiety

• Increase bone density

• Help manage common side effects like lymphedema, constipation, and neuropathy

• Encourage survivors to participate in their wellness plan

As a Yoga therapist, I have over twenty years of experience working with clients with all types of cancer. I can tailor-make a program for your specific needs. And we create short and long-term goals to help you feel calm in your body and mind!

“After my mastectomy, Stephanie supported me both emotionally and physically. She was very open about her experience with breast cancer, and it was amazing to have a one-on-one yoga class with someone who was familiar with what and how I was feeling. It was great to be able to build up muscle and strength between the two operations (mastectomy & reconstruction) to enable an easier and quicker recovery. There is no way I would have been able to bounce back as quickly without her support and care. I would highly recommend Stephanie to any woman who is going through this process - even women with no prior experience with yoga.”
